Bang!
The cold barrel becomes hot
And the warm souls now chill with cold.
The tears melt hearts of youthful spark.
Once young minds have been made old.
And then there were three.
Though they seem to stand with
strength,
Their feet sink and their knees tremble.
Though they once had youthful pride,
The power of a gun has made them humble.
And time continues to pass.
Though the three mourn their
friend's death,
The tears dry up and new men hath death left.
Forever changed by the absence of one,
But not long are the new men bereft.
The memory of the boy will live on,
But only until his friends too are gone.
The same fate awaits us all.
