The fear provided security
The knowledge provided the fear
The flesh overcame the knowledge

Once upon a time: innocence
Now, corruption, though incomplete,
For the battle still rages.
The choice remains for each time.

Intimacy is a dream
Perspective: meaningfulless
Unexpected
Empty
Untruth

Neither death nor life,
But the terrifying in between
Worse than death,
Worse than life,
Is being neither dead nor alive.
Catatonic.

Dreams and opium would be my savior,
Nightmares a salvation.
Could hell be but an advanced state of narcissistic mediocrity?

No pain here
Unexpectedly little regret.
Sadness and confusion nearly consume
Hatred and distaste for life are ever present.
Cure not wanted.

Hedonistic masochism of the mind and spirit are all I know.
Facts not ever present, though always when thinking.
Quiet tears not my soul to bits.
Rolling with the punches.
Not static, nor stagnant,
But akin to a pendulum.
The flesh is alive though dead in its life.
