Late Night, Early Morning
Driving though unfamiliar snow on familiar roads
Ringing in the late night hour,
Spending time with my best friend.
Our hours together wane with the likelihood of continued flakes.
Sleep comes quickly enough,
Though surely takes time too much.
Arise early to see my live.
I have not seen so early a light in many a month.
Though the worth of this loss is infinite.
Not only to myself,
But to a life,
To the future,
To the world.
